Halloween Week Near Queen Creek: Pumpkin Patches, Fall Festivals and Haunted Houses Still Open (2026)

What’s still open for Halloween near Queen Creek?
Schnepf Farms, Vertuccio Farms and Mother Nature’s Farm run family fall festivals through Halloween weekend. Scarizona and Sanctum of Horror in Mesa cover the scary side for teens and adults.

Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so this is the last week for most of the farm festivals around Queen Creek. Below is what’s still open, what it costs, where it is, and which spots work for which ages. That last part matters a lot when one kid wants a haunted house and the other still needs a nap.

Quick Picks by Age

  • Toddlers and little kids: Mother Nature’s Farm in Gilbert. It’s smaller and easy to manage, and admission includes a pumpkin.
  • Elementary-age kids: Schnepf Farms or Vertuccio Farms. Both have corn mazes, rides, and enough to fill a whole evening.
  • Teens and adults: Scarizona Scaregrounds or Sanctum of Horror in Mesa. Leave the little ones home for these.

Haunted Attractions (Teens and Adults)

Scarizona Scaregrounds (Mesa)

One ticket gets you into three walk-through haunts, all outdoors in the dark with fog, loud noises and live actors. The organizers recommend wearing closed-toe shoes.

  • Remaining nights: Oct. 28, 29, 30, 31 and Nov. 1
  • Tickets: From $19.95 plus fees. Tickets are timed-entry and nonrefundable.
  • Ages: Not recommended for kids under 12.

Sanctum of Horror (Mesa)

Sanctum of Horror is set up in the parking lot at Superstition Springs Center. It’s the closer haunted option for Queen Creek families, and its season reportedly runs into early November. Check the official site for nightly hours, ticket prices and age guidance before you go.

Missed the Town’s Events? Mark Your Calendar for Next Year

The Town of Queen Creek held its Spooky Splash (a floating pumpkin patch) and the Not So Spooky Halloween Party on Oct. 24 at the Queen Creek Recreation & Aquatic Center. Both were resident-only and needed separate registration. If your family wants to go next year, watch for registration to open in September.

You may also see older posts mentioning a town Trunk or Treat on Halloween night. The town retired that event after crowds got too large, and these smaller registered events replaced it.

A Few Tips for Halloween Week

  • Go early in the week if you can. Saturday is Halloween and the last day for most of these farms, so expect it to be the busiest day.
  • Check the last admission time. Vertuccio, for example, stops selling tickets an hour before closing.
  • Read the fine print on haunt tickets. Scarizona’s timed tickets are nonrefundable, even if someone chickens out at the door.
  • Budget for the extras. At Schnepf, food, pumpkins and the train ride are not included in admission.
